简 介:

Dr. Liu teaches watershed-related environmental science courses, primarily Hydrology (ENV450/550) and Applied Watershed Management (ENV425/525). His research focuses on watershed hydrology, watershed management, water quality, and biogeochemistry. He is particularly interested in hydrologic processes controlling contaminant transport, effects of changes in land use/cover on stream water quality, and effects of climate change on hydrologic cycle and water quality from watersheds to regional scales. He is a modeler, with expertise in physically based and spatially distributed hydrologic models. He is also an experimentalist, with expertise in isotope hydrology and geochemical tracers. His recent research projects have been primarily funded by National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) of US Department of Agriculture through Evans-Allen program and Capacity Building Grants. He published over 30 research articles and has been a frequent reviewer for top hydrologic and environmental journals such as Water Resources Research, Environmental Science and Technology, Hydrologic Processes, and Journal of Hydrology. Dr. Liu is also one of the active members in our TPE international cooperation group.
