　　Josep Peñuelas教授是享誉国际的生态学家，长期从事生物地球化学、植物生态学、全球变化和生物多样性的研究。Peñuelas教授是具有全球视野的生态学家，善于把握相关生态系统服务的前沿科学问题，在地球生物圈生物多样性、营养元素循环与生态系统代谢、新兴污染物效应等开展创新性研究，引领国际生态与环境科学多个方向的研究。Peñuelas教授已经在SCI刊物发表学术论文600多篇，H-index为104（Google Scholar），其中Nature及其子刊48篇，Science论文3篇以及美国科学院院报（PNAS）8篇。这些论文在Google Scholar里面被引用4万多次。Peñuelas教授是汤森路透的农业科学、环境/生态学等多个领域的高被引科学家。鉴于其在生态与环境领域的杰出成就，他先后获得多项学术成就奖，包括：1）詹姆斯国王奖-环境保护奖（2015）——该奖由西班牙国王詹姆斯雷伊杰米一世于1989年创立，由国王詹姆斯一世亲自授予，旨在促进全国各领域科学研究及科研机构与企业间的研究合作与科学发展，奖励领域包括基础研究、经济学、医学研究、环境保护、新技术、城市规划等，每年每个领域仅有1人获奖。历届获奖人中有55人后来获得了诺贝尔奖；2）罗蒙马格列夫生态学奖（2016）——该奖项由加泰罗尼亚政府设立，为了纪念20世纪现代生态学创始人和最杰出的西班牙科学家罗蒙马格列夫。该奖项始于2004年，用于奖励在生态学及环境领域有杰出贡献的科学家，每年仅有1人获奖。Peñuelas教授于2016年获得此奖，也是历届获奖人中第一个西班牙人。

　　Prof. Josep Peñuelas is a Research Professor of the National Research Council of Spain (CSIC) and CREAF (Center for Ecological Research and Forestry Applications). Director of the Global Ecology Unit CREAF-CSIC-UB-UAB in CREAF - Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.

　　Prof Peñuelas is highly cited scientist in ecology/environment, in plant and animal sciences, agricultural sciences, geosciences and in all science fields of the ISI essential science indicators (H-Index is currently 104 GS, and his works have received more than 48.300 citations GS).

　　His recent subjects of study are: global ecology, global change, climate change, atmospheric pollution, biogenic Volatile Organic Compounds, remote sensing, functioning and structure of terrestrial plants and ecosystems, chemical ecology and metabolomics, macroecology, biogeochemistry, environmental sustainability, food security. He has been awarded numerous national and international prizes in ecology, environment and sustainability.
