应高寒生态学与生物多样性重点实验室梁尔源研究员邀请，加拿大魁北克大学Sergio Rossi教授将前来青藏所交流并做系列学术讲座。  

　　讲座1：A primer to process-based models

　　Prof. Rossi will describe the deductive approach to build up predictive numerical models of natural systems based on their underlying processes. Model assessments will be performed using SIMILE. 　　讲座2：Statistical models and experimental designs

　　Prof. Rossi will describe the main statistical models and the procedure to select them according to specific experimental designs. All examples will be applied using JMP. 　　讲座3：Discussion on home-works

　　Students will present and discuss some home-made works prepared according to the procedures described during the previous meetings. 

　　Sergio Rossi教授简介：

　　2003-2007: post-doc, University of Padova, Italy 

　　2007 Invited scientist, INRA in Nancy, France 

　　2008-2016.11 Associate Professor and lecturer, University of Quebec in Chicoutimi, Canada 

　　2016.12—present, Professor and lecturer, University of Quebec in Chicoutimi, Canada 

　　Sergio Rossi教授是国际上是树木形成层活动和物候研究的知名专家，在Global Change Biology, Global Ecology and Biogeography, New Phytologist, Plant Cell and Environment, Journal of Experimental Botany 等期刊上发表论文50多篇，建立了树木形成层样品采集、实验分析的系列方法，推动了国际上树木形成层活动监测研究的进展，在高纬度树木形成层活动的气候阈值等方面具有一系列的创新性成果。Rossi教授为魁北克大学本科生开设统计学课程，在树木形成层活动大数据和模型分析方面具有出色的研究工作。
